How Do Christians Know That Jesus Is Real?

The resurrection of Jesus Christ happened nearly 2000 years ago. In the time that Christ physically walked the earth there were many eyewitness accounts. Many of these accounts are recorded in the four Gospels in the New Testament and the rest of these accounts were perhaps too many to be recorded. In this article I want to discuss the many ways in which point to the existence of Jesus Christ.

Contrary to popular belief the name Jesus Christ holds significant Power in the spiritual realm. Many today call on the name Jesus Christ and receive healing from sickness, disease, pain, and addiction. Let’s take for example the thousands of people who have been healed of diseases such as HIV and HPV. Jesus has given a promise to the world that those who ask anything in his name and believe will receive answers to their prayers.

“Therefore I say unto you, what things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Mark 11:24. Throughout the New Testament Jesus gave charge to his disciples to perform miracles and preach his word through the power of the holy ghost and this is still being done today all throughout the world. One way that miracles are performed is through the casting out of demons. Hollywood has put out its fair share of movies mocking this power and ridiculing the church; however, these movies are not real depictions of what is actually taking place in the spiritual realm.

The spiritual realm is a world often unknown to the naked eye. Because many of us cannot see this world we tend to render it hogwash and we assume that it doesn’t exist. This way of thinking is farthest from the actual truth. One way that we can prove that supernatural realms exist is through the power of witchcraft. Witchcraft is practiced openly all throughout the world. There are some places in western Africa that perform high ranking spells in which give humans the power to shapeshift. Witchcraft is also practiced amongst certain native American tribes. It is in south Africa that witch doctors are summoned by soccer authorities to cleanse the Johannesburg stadium.

In the western hemisphere witchcraft is looked upon as a myth. Americans love to watch movies like Harry Potter and The Black Panther and TV shows like Ghost Hunters, Ghost whispers, and The Long Island Medium in which are filled to the brim with witchcraft. America is a nation filled with magicians, black magic, astrology, crystals, charms, spiritualist who claim to talk to the dead, and universe worship. Hollywood is in fact full of occult practices, which majority of the celebrities and musicians who prance across the tv screen being themselves witches and wizards placing spells on the general public. This topic of the supernatural and magic connects to the existence of Jesus Christ in many ways. God is very clear on his stance against witchcraft. “Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.” Leviticus 19:31. Mediums, spiritualist, witches, wizards, and sorcerers all have a common commonality, they ignore the fact that Jesus exercises authority over the spiritual world.

Jesus oversees the spirit and material world. There are many pastors who practice witchcraft openly inside the church by seeking powers to heal and deceive church members for money and popularity. Take for example the Christian pastor Makhado Sinthumule Ramabulana, a Christian from Africa who wrote the book titled Church Mafia. A book about a pastor who went around West Africa taking oaths and gaining secret powers for fame and fortunes. It is hard for even many Christians to truly recognize Christ’s existence because the church has failed to address these powers in witchcraft. Once the church undermines the reality of witchcraft, Satan disappears, angels become a speculation, and the overall engagement of spiritual warfare is nonexistent.

Although many churches today do not address witchcraft, there are churches that do. Thousands of people all over the world have been delivered from their ties to the occult and the demonic strongholds that were seeking to destroy their lives. These people are healed all in the name of Jesus Christ. Take for example the story of Curtis Kelley who was a practitioner of voodoo, obeya, and hoodoo. Kelley now shares his testimony on YouTube about how his experience seeing angels has made him realize that Jesus Christ is real. In the days that Jesus Christ physically walked the earth there were eyewitness accounts of him raising the dead, Jesus is still doing this today. “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.” Joel 2:28.

Like the ancient world the bible recognizes dimensions and supernatural realms with diverse beings, creatures, and angels. It is the Bible that places all spiritual rulership in Jehovah Jireh, the God of Israel. The most important reason that Christians know that Jesus Christ is real is because they believe. In order for one to know something they must first believe that it is true. A lot of people laugh at and mock Christians because they believe that Jesus Christ is a European man made figure. However, they are wrong. I encourage people of all religions and all faiths to bow their knees in prayer and ask for themselves, “Jesus Christ are you real?” “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:” Mathew 7:7.
